Attention all Android fans:
It is that time of year again. The internet is buzzing with glorious glamorizations (you like that alliteration, don't you) of Nexus mockups and rumors. Each year this happens and we fans get butterflies in unspecified areas. Now, kiddies, don't think this is just another year of boring old rumors. This is the most exciting year yet because the month old rumors that Google will release an Nexus device from five different manufacturers looks like a possibility.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2
The Galaxy Nexus 2 has popped up multiple times on the web this week. It might have a 720p screen and an ARM-11 processor. That is pretty much all we know. Sounds boring to me.HTC Nexus 5
A.K.A. the Droid Incredible X. This rumor is the most interesting of all the rumors rumoring around the rumor mill. A 5-inch, 1080p 480 PPI screen, 12 megapixel camera, 2,500mAh battery-touting phone with HTC's build quality. I could get on board with this.LG Optimus Nexus
The LG Optimus G hasn't yet hit the shores of the USA, but a Nexus variant could be coming soon. The Optimus G has some impressive specs: a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (quad core), 13 megapixel camera and some cool software features. The Nexus variation is rumored to sport a 4.7 inch True HD IPS Plus display that should have a PPI somewhere between the iPhone 5 and Nokia Lumia 920.Sony
Sony Xperia Nexus and Motorola Nexus
The last two manufacturers to hop on the Nexus rumor train are Sony and Motorola. Not much is known about these guys besides the fact that their names are associated with a Nexus rumor. We will wait and see. If they all come out, don't get the Moto one. That is the best advice you will receive all day.Sorry for the lack of pictures, there are no good mockups out.
