Back to The Big Four
Every tech fan knows by now that Nokia messed up. They messed up pretty badly. Who had the idea to take a fantastic phone camera and make the demo a complete lie? Imagine the original demonstration for buffalo wings.
"We are going to take the magic of chicken and douse it in spicy sauces. Then you eat it, all of it, until you feel sick and watch football. Except when we show this off to the public the first ad will include how the chicken wings cure cancer. Sure, they taste good, but who wants just taste?"
This is what Nokia did. Hopefully it does not turn out as bad as this fantasy situation. Hopefully the phone still sells because it does look great, especially for a Windows phone. No offense. If developers start making some apps for Windows 8, and someone finds a way to get to the root of the phone's software and customize it, I could see this being better than Android. We will all have to wait and see.Luckily the real camera still looks very impressive. The folks over at The Verge got a hands on demo. Side note: if you read any other tech site, besides this one of course, The Verge is probably the best, most unbiased, and well laid out. Anyways, the PureView on that thang still looks better than any other current phone on the market, at least until the iPhone comes out. Though I wouldn't bet a buck on the iPhone since the leaks have looked pretty unimpressive. More on that here.
Aside from the camera, the color options on the Lumia scream "I like attention and I'm too afraid to come out of the closet," but somehow I like them all.
Pause.
Casual transition, the Lumia also has some impressive features. Wireless charging, a touch screen that knows when your wearing gloves, and similarly powered insides to the Galaxy SIII bring the whole thing together. The greatness of this phone is only limited by how well Windows Phone 8 pans out to be.
